The Buffet Bar Table Island is conveniently sized at 19″ W x 54″ L x 36″ Tall and as shown comes with a convenient shelf for easy access storage.

ALSO, while completing the Table Island, Just Fine Tables was successful completing one of the other projects in our listing of upcoming projects in our previous post.

This table, like our previous ones is 100% handmade of pressure treated lumber that has been specially aged for distinction and character.

The small table and the table island are currently available to you at Encore Resales Furniture and Consignment Store in Pelham AL unless they have found new homes while making this post. Seriously! It is true! Encore Resales’ motto of ‘Get Them When You See Them‘ plays out each and everyday.

Just Fine Tables just delivered a new Small ‘Outdoor’ – ‘Indoor’ Table to Encore Resales. This is a replacement for the Small Table – Island shown in our previous post that Sold.
This Outdoor – Indoor Table is similarly built, slightly larger, and constructed as a table that can be used most anywhere!

This ‘Outdoor’ – ‘Indoor’ Table was just delivered to Encore Resales:

Currently, Just Fine Tables has one more table like the above, but slightly larger, and Viola, we are finally completing an Outside Buffet Bar Table that we started building over 2 years ago. Yes, over 2 years ago for the top.

From Just Fine Tables

After our Big Ticket Items (see composite picture at bottom of post) decided to find new homes…..

Just Fine Tables luckily was in the process of completing a small Outdoor-Indoor Table that could be used anywhere. It is a table designed for sitting things on while entertaining, or the like. And, as you can see, it has a storage rack below (the rack was added for storage on the 30″ tall table).

Distressed Table Top

The table is built completely with treated lumber and is partially stained with deck stain. Other parts are painted with exterior paint and the entire table has had an application of exterior polyurethane for superior protection and long term service.

Our business, Just Fine Tables, has been quite busy recently completing a number of projects, and as a result, we have been a little behind updating our website.
To make amends to our followers and viewers, a number of our recent projects will be presented in this posting for you and our other Birmingham Alabama area furniture fans.

#1- Customer Requested ‘Cherry Top’ Small Table with Straight Black Legs-

Note: This small table was rebuilt from a slightly larger table that Just Fine Tables purchased from a friend. This was a fun project as this was the first time we had ever re-sized a table.

Note: My partner and I found this unique lingerie chest in a Memphis, TN Goodwill store and brought it back to Alabama in the back seat of our car ( very tight fit). We took our time making some minor repairs and re-styling it to today’s furniture tastes.

FYI- The Lingerie Chest became a perfect example of an Encore Resales slogan (i.e.”Buy it when you see it!”) The chest found a new owner within 3.5 hours of arriving at the Encore Resales store.

FROM— JUST FINE TABLES

JUST FINE TABLES is in the process of completing a Customer Requested Porch Table to go into their lake side getaway. It is not complete yet, but I thought it cool to let you see it in construction. Why?, because we normally build tables upside down. Seriously, we build tables upside down.

Here is a picture of the Porch Table as it is currently situated-

The table will be righted later today and the finishing touches applied to make it look old with lots and lots of old wood and used character.

I know that folks like to see finished products, but again, I thought it cool to let you have a feel for what really happens in our workshop.

Just Fine Tables recently completed the Refinishing of a 54” Solid Oak PEDESTAL TABLE and its two (2) leaves. Yes, you read that correctly, this solid wood pedestal table has two (2) 10” leaves that allows the already large table to expand to be a massive 54” x 74” Oval table that easily seats 6 people. And, as you can see in the picture below, everything fits perfectly.

This table looked terrible when Just Fine Tables found it as someone had attempted to redo the round top of the table. It looked as if a very dark stain (like Ebony) had been poured (not applied) on the existing finished top without any necessary surface preparation like stripping and sanding. Sorry, no before restoration picture. We didn’t want to break your computer with such a picture.

Just Fine Tables painted the table base and skirt cottage white and distressed it some to give the table more character. We thought it only appropriate to accent the table to bring out its original beauty and quality.

Last minute item! — My partner, J’s-AVE, wanted me to show this Old Hand Built ‘Reclaimed Wood’ Bench that she took to ENCORE RESALES with the hope of finding it a new owner. Here is the bench.

Just Fine Tables recently finished Refinishing and Up-styling a “Heavy Butcher Block Top” Drop Leaf Table and its two (2) Matching Stools while building a few custom tables. In addition to this drop leaf table having a one of a kind “Butcher Block” top, its legs are supported on casters to allow easy relocation (for example: cleaning underneath).

Here is the BUTCHER BLOCK TABLE and Stools as displayed at Encore Resales Consignment and Furniture Store-

As noted in the picture caption, the Drop Leaf Table expands from 20″ x 36″ (with leaves down) to a Full 36″ x 48″ (with both leaves up) and secured in place.

Additionally, while refinishing the drop leaf table above, Just Fine Tables had the pleasant opportunity to help our partner, J’s-AVE, with one of her projects. Her project was the refinishing and up-styling of a Unique Dual-Pedestal Base Coffee Table.

Please Note: Our partner decided that the color scheme for the coffee table would be such that it would be Most Suitable for a Beach Home or Cottage Getaway. She hopes you agree. Here are a couple of pictures of Just Fine Tables’ custom Farm Tables built and delivered to customers in December 2012.

We mentioned in a previous post that Just Fine Tables could build only two (2) Custom Farm Tables before the Christmas holidays. Here are the farm tables we built and delivered:

Custom “Country Estate” Farm Table:

Please note this Country Estate Farm Table is virtually identical to previous farm tables built by Just Fine Tables; however, this table is 100% stained to match the customer’s existing chairs and related furniture.

The table was ordered by the customer directly through Encore Resales and because this table had to be delivered by Encore Resales with additional furniture, we were unable to be part of the delivery team to the customer’s home. (That is why the edited picture above shows the table just before it was loaded into the Encore Resales delivery van. The extra legs and shoes Are Not part of the table.).

HOWEVER, the Customer “Made our December” by sending us an email after the delivery. Here is the first part of the email-

[Hi Frank. I just wanted to send you an email and let you know that I LOVE my table. Its so beautiful. I just want to stay home tonight and look at it. The stain is perfect and I can't wait to sit down and have a meal on it.]

Both custom farm tables were hand built from scratch, except that the table legs were purchased ‘turned’ table legs from Osborne Wood Products. Of course, Just Fine Tables did the staining, finishing, and added the attachment hardware to allow the table legs to be removable.
