3.8% Sales Tax on Some 2013 Home Sale PROFITS with “OBAMACARE”

Obama and OBAMACARE is set to Screw Older Folks starting January 1, 2013 with a 3.8% Sales Tax On Some Home Sale Profits.  Actually, ObamaCare will screw many folks selling homes after Jan. 1, 2013 who have built up significant profits in their homes….if they still have taxable profits after their home values have plummeted with the 40% selling price loss nationwide due Obama’s Exponential Debt Spending.

As Nancy Pelosi said about OBAMACARE, “You have to Pass It to Find Out What Is In It!” …. Well, here is one thing discovered by the National Association of REALTORS that was sent to me that I felt was extremely important for all Americans to know about ….

Note: Some editing was requires to the below 3rd party information to provide more clarity and accuracy.

“The National Association of REALTORS is all over this and working to get Obamacare repealed, before the excess profits sales tax takes effect.  But, we are very pleased we aren’t the only ones who know about this ploy to steal billions from unsuspecting homeowners.

Sales Tax Guidelines: For Single Folks with Profits Over $250,000 or Couples with Profits Over $500,000.

Did you know that if you sell your house after 2012 you will pay a 3.8% sales tax on profits over the above guidelines?  That’s $3,800 on profits of $100,000 above the limits.

When did this happen? It’s in the Health Care Bill and goes into effect in 2013.  Why 2013?  Could it be to come to light AFTER the 2012 elections?

So, this is (OBAMA’s ) “change you can believe in”?  Under the New Health Care Bill all real estate transactions will be subject to a 3.8% Sales Tax.
`
If you sell your home with a $400,000 profit above limits, You will have to pay a $15,200 tax.

This bill is set to ‘Screw The Retiring Generation’ who often downsize their homes. Does this make your November and 2012 vote more important?

Oh, you weren’t aware this was in the Obamacare bill?  Guess what, you aren’t alone.  There are more than a few members of Congress that aren’t aware of it either”

http://www.gop.gov/blog/10/04/08/obamacare-flatlines-obamacare-taxes-home

Thought you might like to see this.  I know I was surprised.  LUCKILY, WE SOLD OUR HOME LATE LAST YEAR and as a result, we won’t have to suffer through this kind of personal asset theft.

Editing to the above 3rd party information was necessary to provide clarity and accuracy. It may still be a little off, but the bottom line is that OBAMACARE is Terrible for America and Real Working and/or Seriously Looking for Work Americans.

KITCHEN ISLAND TABLE – HANDMADE Customer KITCHEN ISLAND

From JustFineTables.com

A Handmade in America Kitchen Island Table built to Customer Requests in the Greater Birmingham, AL area was completed, delivered, and set-up in the customer’s home. The Kitchen Island Table was requested to look similar to one shown in a May 2006 article found in Southern Living Magazine.

The interesting part of the story was that the lady desiring the kitchen island came into ENCORE RESALES Consignment and Furniture Store in December 2010 with a torn out page of the Southern Living Magazine article showing the Island style she wanted. When she showed it to the Encore Resales staff, they were all surprised!!

They were all surprised as the Kitchen Island she showed them was already in the store; actually a similar duplicate built by yours truly, Just Fine Tables, from the same article the lady brought in. (( Scroll down or Go to the Kitchen Island Category and you should be able to see the Simi-’Southern Living Magazine’ Island the Encore Resales staff showed the lady. ))

That was unreal. But it actually happened. AND, now we have this custom built kitchen island to fit in the lady’s kitchen.

3' x 4' Handmade PINE TOP KITCHEN ISLAND with Two Shelves

Note: The Kitchen Island Table top is removable from the base for easy relocation. (For this customer, this was a fantastic feature to deliver and set the island in place.)

This was truly a fun, but time consuming project with the extra shelf with necessary spacing between shelves asked for by the customer. And since, Just Fine Tables does not like to see any connectors or braces or similar support brackets in our hand built, made in America tables, that made it even more difficult….
But, we prevailed! and the customer is very happy which is always a primary goal of Just Fine Tables in our offerings and work.

Should you like or need a Kitchen Island, Farm Table, Coffee Table, or Wine Bar-Buffet Table, please contact Just Fine Tables at: (205) 668-1488; or email at: JustFineTables@gmail.com ….or Visit ENCORE RESALES, and see what we have on display in Booth 47 / 469.

Both of the above Kitchen Island Tables and others Just Fine Tables has built for past customers are all offspring versions of the one we built at the request of our partner, J’s-AVE.
That specific Kitchen Island Table was the one shown and discussed in previous blog posts, (you know, the one we built that looked very similar to the one shown in the May 2006 “Southern Living” Magazine article.)
If you would like to relook at that Island Table, you’ll need to scroll down to find it, … OR you can look at the island as it is shown in the header of our twitter site… twitter.com/JustFineTables.

Oh, did you hear that our newest FARM TABLE has found a new owner. Yes, it is the one shown here. And also, that the beautiful new ENCORE RESALES chairs shown with the table.. stayed with the table.

NOTE: I must give credit to our wonderful partner, J’s-AVE, for the excellent match between the farm table and the chairs.

Refinishing Oak PEDESTAL TABLE with Six Fantastic Oak CHAIRS at ENCORE RESALES

Today, the day before VALENTINE’s DAY from Just Fine Tables, Calera, AL–

While Just Fine Tables continues to complete Two (2) Custom Hand Made in America Kitchen Island Tables, we are also re / Refinishing a large Oak PEDESTAL TABLE with its six(6) fantastic Oak CHAIRS at ENCORE RESALES Consignment Store, Pelham, AL.

Just Fine Tables is refinishing the chairs over time (we have two (2) more to redo ) with expectations of having them with the table later this week. …AND, if we are lucky we will have refinished the large Oak Pedestal Table’s base and skirt to resemble the tables’ chairs (i.e. Distressed Cottage White ).

Below is a picture of the Oak Table with its large leaf and four (4) of the current refinished chairs.

PARTIAL REFINISHING OF OAK PEDESTAL TABLE WITH FOUR (4) REFINISHED CHAIRS

If you have visited Encore Resales over the past 3 months or so, you probably have seen the above table and chair set. We appreciate Encore Resales displaying our table and chairs and know that they enjoy luncheon meals and customer discussions about Encore Resale other offerings on them.

OTHER- We have found our friends over at CRAIGSLIST.ORG having a little hissy with Furniture by Owner Items listed in the greater Birmingham, AL market place. Their concerns are considered both right and wrong depending upon how one evaluates For Sale By Owner items. Since Just Fine Tables has listed most of our items with Craigslist in the For Sale By Owner category in the past (which is absolutely true), we will change our listing in Craigslist to help them in the future by listing our owner items in the For Sale By Dealer category.

We Still Love Craigslist (with the exception of spamming #&%HOLES), and continue to recommend Craigslist.org as an excellent website to find many valuable items and services, some at really great bargain prices!

With that in mind, here is one of our newest Craigslist.org offerings in its new category-

MAN CAVE COFFEE TABLE w/ HIDDEN STORAGE & WOOD SLAT SHELF

Did you follow the link in Craigslist? Craigslist.org offerings

Got to go. Have a GREAT DAY! … Remember VALENTINE’S DAY tomorrow!

“SHE DEN” Coffee Table Refurbished and Beefed Up to “MAN CAVE” Status

from JustFineTables.com

Just Fine Tables has finished Refurbishing and Beefing Up what had to have been a “SHE DEN” Coffee Table to “MAN CAVE” status. The now “MAN CAVE” COFFEE TABLE is like the one we posted here about 3 weeks ago.

"Man Cave" Coffee Table with Hidden Flip Top Storage and Lower Shelf

However, this newer Man Cave Coffee Table has a Made In America Wooden Slat Bottom Shelf rather than the metal shelf shown above.

(Hey!, there was no bottom shelf with the “She Den” Coffee Table when Just Fine Tables originally found it. We had to do something. We are just guessing that the ?woman? who had the coffee table before kept the metal rung shelf to hang up her …things?)

OK, we know you are wondering why the Refurbished and Beefed Up coffee table has been referred as a “She Den” Coffee Table. Well… when one opens the lid to the hidden compartment, your olfactory nerves will detect a slight, but pleasant perfume aroma. Seriously!

[NOTE: We thought about overpowering the perfume aroma with a Man's Cologne like BRUT or STETSON, but decided against it. We have found that most 'MAN CAVE' items are purchased by women for their man. So with that, we decided to leave any odor modifications to the individual becoming the new owner of the coffee table.]

This Newest “MAN CAVE” Coffee Table with Hidden Compartment Storage and Wooden Slat Shelf arrived at ENCORE RESALES Consignment Store in Pelham, AL this morning. Enjoy!

FARM TABLE- Thick Pine Top with Antiqued “Old Country Chic” Legs and Skirt

Repost from JustFineTables.com

Completed the Big FARM TABLE that we had been discussing in previous posts. The final design became a Farm Table with a Distressed Thick Pine Top ( 37″ x 54″ ) providing plenty of elbow room for up to six (6) people to enjoy dining with comfort.

HANDMADE in America FARM TABLE with "OLD COUNTRY CHIC" Legs

The Thick Pine Top Farm Table Top was matched with some bigger than normal turned table legs off a table given to Just Fine Tables last year from a former neighbor (Enjoy Greater Atlanta, Ga. friends). We kept the legs (and still have the table top to build one or two kitchen islands with later) until we decided to build a table that we considered would look good with big legs.

Since Just Fine Tables enjoys experimenting,, we decided to modify the coloring of the legs from our typical black to something more shabby with a look representing an age of about 100 years. We feel we succeeded in our Antiquing of the table legs and skirt and have coined a new coloring scheme name for our antiquing, “Old Country Chic”.
[Note: To truly appreciate the "old country chic" look you must be near the table to appreciate. The picture above does not show the uniqueness of the 100 yr old look.,]

Since debuting the Thick Pine Top FARM TABLE at ENCORE RESALES, Pelham, AL, we have received several pleasant comments about our coloring and that we should incorporate our new look, “Old Country Chic”, in some of our upcoming projects. We appreciate the compliments and for you, “Yes!”, we will be doing that on some.
