The Table – Desk required a few minor TLC adjustments before we delivered it to ENCORE RESALES Consignment and Furniture Store where you can see and purchase it. That is, .. if it hasn’t found a new home in the greater Birmingham, Alabama furniture market before you get to ENCORE.

Just before leaving from Alabama to travel to Texas, Just Fine Tables Hand Built a Child’s Table / Desk and Chair Set. Well, actually we built the custom Child’s Table and we just shortened the legs on a chair that our partner, J’s-AVE found.

The table is custom with a Maple Top and Skirt … and is supported with legs from an old side table that was discarded in our scrap pile (We love to use old pieces and then bring them back to a useful life.)

Here is the Child’s Table / Desk and Chair-

You will also notice an Easel in the picture. That was one that J’s-AVE had found at a thrift store and we restored it to useable condition.

OK, you guessed it. The Child’s Table and Chair Set with the Easel were built and/or refinished for our Grandson, Hyde, in Austin, TX.

Just Fine Tables completed a Customer Specified KITCHEN ISLAND TABLE just before our trip to visit family in Texas. The Kitchen Island Table with the two Burlap Upholstered Stools are displayed at ENCORE RESALES Consignment and Furniture Store in Booth 47 until the new owner comes and picks them up.

As most everyone knows by now, Encore Resales in Pelham serves the greater Birmingham Alabama Furniture market with new furniture, antique furniture, custom “Handmade Made in America / Alabama Furniture”, and a number of refinished and re-purposed furniture items from a number of consignors.

For reference, the Customer Specified Kitchen Island Table is a reduced sized version of the one shown in a recent Just Fine Tables’ Blog Post. Here is the new customer specified Kitchen Island Table:

And as an added feature, dual towel bars (one on each end) were added per the customer’s request.

We hope they like the Kitchen Island Table and Stools and we certainly wish them well in their new home across the Alabama State line after having been forced to relocate from last year’s tragic tornadoes. God Bless!

Soon, we will return to Alabama (Yes, we are in Texas now!), and we will be building an Eight Person “Country Chic” Farm Table, a Wine Bar Buffet Table with a Solid POPLAR TOP, a Wine Bar Buffet Table out of Old Barn Wood for a guy who provided the wood from his Grandmother’s Barn, and a Saw Horse Table… and a few other Alabama Furniture Items as we get to them.

In the meantime, we are enjoying our trip to Austin and Houston to visit our family members.

We completed the Big THICK PINE RUSTIC TOP FARM TABLE with “Country Chic” Legs and Skirt for a customer in Lower Alabama (That’s called L.A. by many folks in the Upper Alabama area).
The Farm Table was dropped off at ENCORE RESALES Consignment and Furniture Store and was picked up my its new owner within a couple of hours. This was all preplanned by Just Fine Tables and the buyer (Email communication works!)

As noted in the caption, the Portsmouth Table Legs were new legs that we purchased (OSBORNE Wood Products). The remainder of the table was all hand built from materials obtained from local Birmingham, AL area merchants.

Soon, Just Fine Tables will be building another Made in America Farm Table that will be slightly larger than the one shown here. It will look very much like this one and it will also be steadied with new legs from Osborne.

The HISTORIC “Wisconsin Chair Company**” DROP LEAF DINING TABLE and CHAIR SET for the Greater Birmingham AL Antique and Vintage Furniture Market can be seen at Encore Resales Consignment & Furniture Store.

The Restored and Stylish Solid Hardwood Drop Leaf DINING TABLE with Six (6) MATCHING CHAIRS also has two (2) leaves allowing the use of all six chairs. Since the table is a Drop Leaf Table, you can use the table with 0, 2, 4, or 6 chairs depending on your space requirement and needs.
