This Wine Bar-Buffet Table was built with a single plank top of thick poplar wood. It comes with two (2) built-in shelves and a total of 10 wine bottle storage.

Oh by the way… you may have been asking what happened to our most recent “Country Chic” Big Farm Table. Well, it had a makeover of its skirt and legs to be black, much like many of our other farm tables, Country Tables, and most of our handmade coffee tables.
The table legs and skirt needed to be black to complement its new owner’s home.

We haven’t been sitting around at Just Fine Tables, but have been busier than ever. Here are some other projects complete or nearly complete.

1. A new handmade “Southern Living” Magazine SAW HORSE TABLE-DESK has been completed and is currently on display at Encore Resales. (will provide a picture soon)

2. Our recent Cedar Chest was updated to look as close to its true old age while being more compatible with today’s Birmingham furniture clientele. The Cedar Chest is at Encore Resales also.

AND,

3. A Butterfly Leaf Table has been Refinished be a Country Table that will seat up to six. This Now… Butterfly Leaf ‘Country Table’ will be at Encore Resales today. Please note that we are giving Serious Consideration to adding six country style ladder back chairs to go with this table to provide a complete ensemble.

The customer requested “Barn Wood” WINE BAR BUFFET TABLE, built to customer specifications is complete.

Here it is-

REAL "BARN WOOD" WINE BAR BUFFET TABLE

The Rustic Barn Wood in this Wine Bar Buffet Table was provided by the customer from his Grandmother’s Barn.
Soon, the customer will provide us a picture of the barn and we will build a small frame from remnants of the barn wood for the picture. A nice little touch to go with the Wine Bar.

Meantime, we Added Chairs to the Stained Round Top Pedestal Table reported earlier. Here is the table with four chairs we matched up to it.

Soon, we will return to Alabama (Yes, we are in Texas now!), and we will be building an Eight Person “Country Chic” Farm Table, a Wine Bar Buffet Table with a Solid POPLAR TOP, a Wine Bar Buffet Table out of Old Barn Wood for a guy who provided the wood from his Grandmother’s Barn, and a Saw Horse Table… and a few other Alabama Furniture Items as we get to them.

In the meantime, we are enjoying our trip to Austin and Houston to visit our family members.

From Just Fine Tables today–

We completed the Big THICK PINE RUSTIC TOP FARM TABLE with “Country Chic” Legs and Skirt for a customer in Lower Alabama (That’s called L.A. by many folks in the Upper Alabama area).
The Farm Table was dropped off at ENCORE RESALES Consignment and Furniture Store and was picked up my its new owner within a couple of hours. This was all preplanned by Just Fine Tables and the buyer (Email communication works!)

As noted in the caption, the Portsmouth Table Legs were new legs that we purchased (OSBORNE Wood Products). The remainder of the table was all hand built from materials obtained from local Birmingham, AL area merchants.

Soon, Just Fine Tables will be building another Made in America Farm Table that will be slightly larger than the one shown here. It will look very much like this one and it will also be steadied with new legs from Osborne.

The HISTORIC “Wisconsin Chair Company**” DROP LEAF DINING TABLE and CHAIR SET for the Greater Birmingham AL Antique and Vintage Furniture Market can be seen at Encore Resales Consignment & Furniture Store.

The Restored and Stylish Solid Hardwood Drop Leaf DINING TABLE with Six (6) MATCHING CHAIRS also has two (2) leaves allowing the use of all six chairs. Since the table is a Drop Leaf Table, you can use the table with 0, 2, 4, or 6 chairs depending on your space requirement and needs.

From Just Fine Tables yesterday (4/27/12)-

Just a quick post today about our 1st table top offering that is more than wood. It is a Refinished Table with Four Natural Stone Tile Accents on a Stained Wood Top Table. Again, this is a refinished table. It’s really cool since it is on an open metal base and it easily allows for up to six (6) people to dine in pleasure.

FYI- The beautiful chairs are New Chairs from ENCORE RESALES Selection of new furniture. We added them to the table as they are an excellent match. These same new chairs were shown in previous posts with our handmade “Country CHIC” Thick Pine Top Farm Tables. FYI 2: We are building two (2) more of these farm tables currently; one for six diners and one for eight diners.

Additionally, we have a couple of Bar Stools at Encore Resales you might like to have in your home. As you can see in the picture below, they are sitting in front of the above Stone and Wood Topped Table.

Let’s all remember our friends from 1 year ago who suffered from the worst tornado activity in Alabama history. We know that a number of our tables and refinished furniture have found new homes with some of the survivors.
And, as a matter of fact, Just Fine Tables is in the construction phase of a Kitchen Island for one of the storm’s displaced survivors. The Kitchen Island is expected to be completed next week. Unfortunately, this survivor has had to move from Alabama to Georgia; however, we know that they may live in Georgia now, but their hearts remain in Alabama.

Completed the Big FARM TABLE that we had been discussing in previous posts. The final design became a Farm Table with a Distressed Thick Pine Top ( 37″ x 54″ ) providing plenty of elbow room for up to six (6) people to enjoy dining with comfort.

HANDMADE in America FARM TABLE with "OLD COUNTRY CHIC" Legs

The Thick Pine Top Farm Table Top was matched with some bigger than normal turned table legs off a table given to Just Fine Tables last year from a former neighbor (Enjoy Greater Atlanta, Ga. friends). We kept the legs (and still have the table top to build one or two kitchen islands with later) until we decided to build a table that we considered would look good with big legs.

Since Just Fine Tables enjoys experimenting,, we decided to modify the coloring of the legs from our typical black to something more shabby with a look representing an age of about 100 years. We feel we succeeded in our Antiquing of the table legs and skirt and have coined a new coloring scheme name for our antiquing, “Old Country Chic”.
[Note: To truly appreciate the "old country chic" look you must be near the table to appreciate. The picture above does not show the uniqueness of the 100 yr old look.,]

Since debuting the Thick Pine Top FARM TABLE at ENCORE RESALES, Pelham, AL, we have received several pleasant comments about our coloring and that we should incorporate our new look, “Old Country Chic”, in some of our upcoming projects. We appreciate the compliments and for you, “Yes!”, we will be doing that on some.
