Just Fine Tables completed a Customer Specified KITCHEN ISLAND TABLE just before our trip to visit family in Texas. The Kitchen Island Table with the two Burlap Upholstered Stools are displayed at ENCORE RESALES Consignment and Furniture Store in Booth 47 until the new owner comes and picks them up.

As most everyone knows by now, Encore Resales in Pelham serves the greater Birmingham Alabama Furniture market with new furniture, antique furniture, custom “Handmade Made in America / Alabama Furniture”, and a number of refinished and re-purposed furniture items from a number of consignors.

For reference, the Customer Specified Kitchen Island Table is a reduced sized version of the one shown in a recent Just Fine Tables’ Blog Post. Here is the new customer specified Kitchen Island Table:

And as an added feature, dual towel bars (one on each end) were added per the customer’s request.

Obama and OBAMACARE is set to Screw Older Folks starting January 1, 2013 with a 3.8% Sales Tax On Some Home Sale Profits.  Actually, ObamaCare will screw many folks selling homes after Jan. 1, 2013 who have built up significant profits in their homes….if they still have taxable profits after their home values have plummeted with the 40% selling price loss nationwide due Obama’s Exponential Debt Spending.

As Nancy Pelosi said about OBAMACARE, “You have to Pass It to Find Out What Is In It!” …. Well, here is one thing discovered by the National Association of REALTORS that was sent to me that I felt was extremely important for all Americans to know about ….

“The National Association of REALTORS is all over this and working to get Obamacare repealed, before the excess profits sales tax takes effect.  But, we are very pleased we aren’t the only ones who know about this ploy to steal billions from unsuspecting homeowners.

Sales Tax Guidelines: For Single Folks with Profits Over $250,000 or Couples with Profits Over $500,000.

Did you know that if you sell your house after 2012 you will pay a 3.8% sales tax on profits over the above guidelines?  That’s $3,800 on profits of $100,000 above the limits.

When did this happen? It’s in the Health Care Bill and goes into effect in 2013.  Why 2013?  Could it be to come to light AFTER the 2012 elections?

So, this is (OBAMA’s ) “change you can believe in”?  Under the New Health Care Bill all real estate transactions will be subject to a 3.8% Sales Tax.

If you sell your home with a $400,000 profit above limits, You will have to pay a $15,200 tax.

This bill is set to ‘Screw The Retiring Generation’ who often downsize their homes. Does this make your November and 2012 vote more important?

Thought you might like to see this.  I know I was surprised.  LUCKILY, WE SOLD OUR HOME LATE LAST YEAR and as a result, we won’t have to suffer through this kind of personal asset theft.

Magnetic Chalkboard

Chalkboards that are handcrafted (built from scratch) are some of the other things that Just Fine Tables does for fun and profit. We like challenges …and certainly we get a number of “Honey!- Can you build this or that?” that prompts many of our new activities.

The magnetic chalkboard above was built about 3 years ago and was certainly functional. However, we decided to add a little decoration (the Applique at the top) and also repaint the chalkboard for better use.

You can find the Magnetic Chalkboard at Encore Resales in Pelham AL… plus many other items from Just Fine Tables and other vendors who consign at the store.  Please know that shopping or just cruising the store is an experience and also know that YOU CANNOT see everything in just one visit.

Got to go for now!  I’m finishing another Southern Living Magazine replica picture item and some other things (just finished building a 6 ft Farm Table, for example.)  Later….

Building Farm Tables and other related tables and furniture items is a method to make money that can turn into a profitable business.

For me, it all started as a hobby, or as a ‘Honey, Can You Build This?’ for me.  My wife, the obvious ‘Honey Do initiator’, asked me sometime back to refinish a few furniture items she wanted to sell at a consignment store nearby our home. The list of items seemed to expand almost weekly from a chair, to a night stand, to a small table, to my largest refinishing item ever, a large 2-piece antique buffet / sideboard with beveled mirror all in dark red mahogany. Wow, that was a job and a half!; however, it turned out to be beautiful, if I do say so, and it sold for the highest price of any item my wife ever sold.

Then, I got a… “Honey, can you build me a Country-style Farm Table for our home?”

After several requests, I finally succumbed to her requests and did build a table; one completely from scratch…which we enjoyed for a couple of years with friends and neighbors.

Some time later, our next door neighbors moved into town and opened a new business, Encore Resales Consignment & Thrift Market.   Needless to say, our close friends had anticipated that my wife would help out at their new store.  She did, ..and guess what was one of the 1st items she consigned at the store?  Yep!, you guessed it, the hand-crafted farm table from our dining room.

After that, the rest is history.  We now have Just Fine Tables.

You Be in Control of Growing Your Twitter Following

Twitter.com and tweeting has and is a major way to grow your list, get your name out, and to find others with similar interests in any number of disciplines. The number of internet marketers who have developed ‘automatic’ methods of growing their lists of followers on twitter increases almost daily. Unfortunately, most of those automatic systems allow you very little control of what you get and will very likely take you to the point of having your Twitter account Suspended (I know 1st hand. My original twitter account was suspended because I could not balance my “following vs. followers” lists.)

Knowing the importance of twitter and now having begun my return to internet marketing and several other greenfield enterprises, the need to build my social and business network is critical…. however, I have no need for some random automatic twitter follower system that I cannot control (I will not have one of those systems have my twitter account suspended because of ’suspicious activity‘).

I found at least one solution to my twitter follower need that works and works for me. It is called “TheTweetTank“. I kept finding a few tweeters referencing this link and finally, I decided to give it a try. The sales page was a little “corny” for my taste, but I finally gave in. It said that it was:

• 99% Totally Automated (I was somewhat concerned from my previous experience…however, I did see that it wasn’t 100% Automated…humm…maybe I would have a little control (i.e. 1%) )
• add 20,000+ followers and make “$500″ every day ( oh yeah. I can’t have that many followers unless I am following 20,000+ tweeters (I recall that twitter will very probably ’suspend’ your account if you are not balanced at the 2,000 mark of followers and following—(I am sure this is what got me.))
• that No Purchased Required for 6 fre.e training videos……OK, I know there is a catch (yes and no–get full product at 60% discount—pay one payment of $29.99)  –I paid the fee for the full product (still don’t know what is included in the full product and I haven’t even looked at the videos so far[ I will though]).

Bottom line of the order was that you received a simple download of an ‘auto follower’ where You (a) set the keyword(s) for followers, (b) the number of searches for appropriate followers and (3) how frequently the system would go out and find potential followers.    When I first tried the auto follower, I noticed that its window started filling with twitters of similar interest (my keyword) and they were propagating quickly.  Luckily, I could hit the Stop button for control. Having noticed how that worked, I inputted another keyword for another interest of mine and whamo, the auto follower was off to the races. I had to hid the Stop button again..like within about 10 seconds. I liked this start / stop feature. I had control!

Since, I first got the product, I have tripled my followers (controllably) and can work to keep my followers and following lists balanced (No suspension this time.)  This is great.  Now I am going to go and watch the videos to find out how to make the $500 per day (yeah..).  I don’t really care as I know how to do that with the appropriate followers.  However, I am still game to learn a new trick or two.

Also, I making this post today, Feb.7, 2009 as a memorial and remembrance of the passing of my youngest brother (18yrs +3mos to the day my senior) four years ago tonight at 10:00pm CT. [Yes, you can see that my brother; actually all of my 3 older brothers (deceased), were more like uncles, than brothers.] I will always remember them.

MLM Travel Business- You should have noted that I have posted a little about this or at least seen a mention in a Tweet or two. Bottom line is that this is a really cool thing if you are into MLM / network marketing, but…It is also really cool if you have a “Regular Business” and you or your employees are required or need to travel.
